WYNONA SQUIRES HONORED AT RE/MAX INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
SAN DIEGO, California - Local REALTOR, Wynona Squires, received the RE/MAX Multiple Broker/Owner Award for her two RE/MAX First offices at the recent RE/MAX International Convention in San Diego, California. Squires is the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX First in Baton Rouge, La. and RE/MAX First in Gonzales, La. and was among an estimated 6,000 fellow RE/MAX members who attended the event.

Joining RE/MAX in 1993, Squires operates 2 offices in the Baton Rouge and Gonzales areas with more than 100 agents. Only 3 Broker/Owners among the 4,813 RE/MAX franchises were honored with this award for 2003. Active in the Baton Rouge real estate market for 25 years, Squires is a three-time recipient of the RE/MAX Dixie Region Broker/Owner of the Year Award, most recently in 2003. She is also currently serving on the Strategic Planning Committee for Louisiana Realtors for 2005. Additionally, Squires is busy organizing a new commercial division within RE/MAX First.
"I was surprised and pleased for the honor of being recognized for the state of Louisiana," says Squires. When asked by the RE/MAX Times what she does for her agents, Wynona replied, "I do everything!" In reflecting on this statement, Squires feels strongly that her best attribute is listening to the agents' needs and suggestions. Squires states, "After all, the firm is only as good as the agents. The agents make the company. The office is team-oriented and each person is very important. A special thanks to each and every member of the RE/MAX First team of Baton Rouge and Ascension. I appreciate you all."
Boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard and Erin Gruwell, two-time Teacher of the Year in California, headlined the opening general session of the convention, along with RE/MAX Chairman and co-founder, Dave Liniger. The theme for the four-day conference was "Coaching to the Max," and featured industry-leading success coaches such as Howard Brinton, Brian Buffini, and Richard Robbins. Other RE/MAX First agents attending the event were Jeanne Miller, Linda Fredericks, Dee Mather, Effie Kling, Linda Gaspard, and Pat Wattam.
